Together We Are Better

Wastewater utilities throughout Colorado have come together to form the Colorado Wastewater Utility Council (CWWUC), which has for over two decades has been a forum that has encouraged collaboration and information exchange between utilities, state and federal regulators, and stakeholders.

Members of the CWWUC work together and with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to develop information that can be used in the in the drafting of balanced regulations that protect human health and the environment, while ensuring that wastewater services remain affordable for communities.

The Colorado Wastewater Utility Council's mission is to professionally and responsibly promote environmental protection by supporting legislation and regulations that achieve well-defined environmental benefits while maintaining local flexibility
